I have tried by train. It is about 3.5 hour only by direct train. If you buy eurail pass, you have to plan in advance which cities you want to go and the order of visiting such cities, so that you can buy the most economic pass and not wasting money. Most likely if you go to 3 or 4 cities by train, buying eurail pass is more economic and convenient.
